The invention relates to a device for making a cylindrical container with a large diameter, in particular of silo, by a metal plate strip which is winded on an uncoiling machine and is then bended in a spiral shape. The device comprises a forming device which can be set up on ground and comprises a forming station, the forming device comprising a track which is corresponding to a wall bending portion of the cylindrical container and extends in a staggered manner, a rotating driving device which can be set up on ground and is provided with a rotating driving station, a welding device, and an annular installing frame which can be set up on ground. Metal plate strips are transmitted to the track, and the forming station is provided with a cantilever flange on an upper edge region of the metal plate strip, and a lap joint wall region which is downward connected with the cantilever flange and extends relative to a metal plate strip plane in a staggered manner by a misalignment quantity. The device is characterized in that in order to make the misaligned lap joint wall region form, the forming station is provided with the mechanism which is used to changeably adjust corresponding required misalignment quantity to be formed in the metal plate strip.
