BURGLARY-PREVENTING DEVICE WITH SHIELDING BODY
A burglary-preventing device (20) for an access panel (1), such as a door or window, comprises a shielding body (21) which is fixedly attached to the access panel (1). The shielding body (21) has a front side (24) and a rear side (25). The rear side (25) has a lock-receiving recess (26) to accommodate an end portion of a cylinder lock. A key passage (27) is provided and has an axis which extends from the front side (24) of the shielding body (21) to the lock-receiving recess (26). The passage (27) makes it possible to operate the cylinder lock from the front side (24) of the shielding body (21) using a key. The shielding body (21) furthermore has boreholes (30, 31) which extend at right angles to the passage (27). Inserts (32, 33) of a harder material than the material of the shielding body (21) are inserted into the bores (30, 31) and fixed.
