The invention relates to a mechanical drive (1) for actuating a moveable wing (5), comprising with an electric motor (22), the motor shaft thereof (24) being operatively connected to the wing (5) by means of a force transmission device, such that a movement of the motor shaft (24) causes the wing (5) to move, also comprising a mechanical energy store which is charged by an opening movement of the wing (5) and which is discharged by a closing movement of the moveable wing (5), and a braking device (20) which can slow down the movement of the wing (5), in which the electric motor (22) can be operated as a generator. A movement-dependent output voltage is produced by moving the wing (5) on the motor terminals of the electric motor (22) driven as a generator, said output voltage being applied to a brake circuit. Said brake circuit comprises at least one circuit element, via which the motor terminals can be short-circuited. The invention also relates to a corresponding door comprising said type eletromechanical drive (1). According to the invention, in an emergency situation, the output voltage of the electric motor (22), which is driven as the generator, is applied to a charging circuit, said electric energy being stored in a capacitor for supplying energy to an emergency electronic control unit.
