Formwork support (3) comprising a first girder element (6) composed of a wood material, a second girder element (7) composed of a wood material and a crosspiece element (8) connecting the first girder element (6) with the second girder element (7), wherein the crosspiece element (8) has at least one projection (9) on the one longitudinal side for connecting to the first girder element (6) and/or has at least one second projection (10) on the other longitudinal side for connecting to the second girder element (7), and comprising at least one first reinforcement element (11) extended in the longitudinal direction (5) of the first girder element (6), which is arranged in a corresponding recess (12) of the first girder element (6), wherein the at least one reinforcement element (11) is adjacent to the at least one first projection (9) of the crosspiece element (8).
