The invention aims at ensuring the most attractive appearance, even after a relatively long period of use, of a transparent swimming pool cover profile having at least one longitudinal channel and having at least one longitudinal fixing groove on one longitudinal side, wherein the longitudinal channel is arranged at least partly above the longitudinal fixing groove. This aim is achieved in that at least one lower side of the longitudinal channel, directed toward the longitudinal fixing groove, and/or at least one upper wall of the longitudinal fixing groove is/are formed so as to be at least partly opaque.
