Disclosed are a gypsum board for cleaning formaldehyde and a preparation method therefor. The gypsum board for cleaning formaldehyde comprises a mixture of modified zeolite, methoxylamine hydrochloride, polymeric amines, guar gum and a phosphate, and can quickly capture and decompose indoor formaldehyde. Thus, such a gypsum board effectively reduces the indoor formaldehyde concentration and maintains a formaldehyde-cleaning effect for a long time; and the gypsum board for cleaning formaldehyde also has excellent mechanical properties.
