Described herein is a flexible trapway arrangement [106] for connecting a toilet system [100] to a drain line [110]. The trapway arrangement includes a trapway and a trap mechanism [120]. The trapway [118] is made up of resilient material. The trap mechanism [120] arranged with the trapway [118], the trap mechanism [120] being adapted to operate the trapway [118] in a constricted state and a dilated state. In the constricted state, the trap mechanism [120] constricts at least a portion of the trapway [118] to restrict a flow of components therethrough. In the dilated state, the trap mechanism [120] dilates the trapway [118] to allow a flow of components therethrough.
