A vehicle operation device comprises a storage section and an authentication section. The storage section stores a token to be used for authentication to a vehicle. The token is received from a server. The authentication section, when an operation of the vehicle is performed in a state in which communication with the server is possible, uses the token to conduct authentication to the vehicle. Further, the authentication section, when a predetermined operation of the vehicle is performed in a state in which communication with the server is interrupted, conducts authentication to the vehicle without using the token.
