A building member (10) for supporting an underfloor heating panel (40) located under a floor (44), the building member (10) comprising: a body (12) providing a rigid support for supporting the floor (44); and a supporting member (20) attached to said body (12) for supporting at least a part of the underfloor heating panel (40) located on said supporting member (20) beside the body (12), below the floor (44), wherein the body (12) comprises two opposing side members (14) and a transverse member (16) connecting said side members (14); wherein the supporting member (20) is connected to an upper part of the respective side member (14) such that the building member (10) is formed to be locatable, in use, on a mount (34) for supporting the building member (10).
