The invention relates to a furniture assembly for a flexibly usable living space (1), in particular for a flexibly usable hotel room. The furniture assembly has a first furniture part (2; 3) and a second furniture part (5), in particular in the form of a bed. The first furniture part (2; 3) and/or the second furniture part (5) has one or more casters (24, 26; 34, 36; 53) which support the furniture part (2; 3; 5) and facilitate a movement of the furniture part (2; 3; 5) (1). The first furniture part (2, 3) has a receiving area (22) which is open towards the bottom for receiving the second furniture part (5) such that the first furniture part (2) can be moved out over the second furniture part (5) and/or the second furniture part (5) can be moved into the receiving area (22) of the first furniture part (2). The movable furniture part (2; 3; 5) has a brake device (10; 110; 59) with one or more brake elements (105; 111; 590) which are designed to directly rest against at least one of the casters (24, 26; 34, 36; 53) in order to prevent an unintended movement of the furniture part (2; 3; 5).
