A SPLICING ARRANGEMENT FOR JOINING TO EACH OTHER TWO REINFORCED CONCRETE PILES
A splicing arrangement for joining to each other two reinforced concrete piles (1, 1') to be driven into the ground comprises a locking sleeve (15) disposed on at least one of the arrangement's piles (1, 1'), the locking sleeve (15) comprising a first locking groove (15c), a dowel (16) disposed on at least another of the arrangement's piles (1, 1'), said dowel (16) being co-directional with a lengthwise direction of the piles (1, 1') and comprising a second locking groove (19) disposed on an external surface of the dowel (16), whereby the dowel (16) is adapted to penetrate into the locking sleeve (15) in the process of joining the piles (1, 1') to each other, at least two locking tabs (17) which are adapted to become seated in the locking sleeve's (15) locking groove (15c) and in the dowel's (16) locking groove (19) for preventing relative lengthwise movement of the piles (1, 1'), and one or more elastic elements (18) which are disposed in the locking sleeve's (15) locking groove (15c) and adapted to apply to the locking tabs (17) a force which pushes the locking tabs (17) towards the dowel's (16) locking groove (19).
