ACOUSTICALLY INSULATING COMPOSITE MATERIAL
An acoustically insulating composite material comprising at least an amount of cork and/or rubber, forming mats or boards for application in construction industry, should be an easier produced, lightweight, more environmentally friendly high-quality sound insulating composite material. This is reached by a composite material comprising beside an amount of cork granules, most preferred expanded cork and/or the amount of rubber granules or fibers of natural or synthetic rubber, most preferred recycled rubber, an amount of aerogel granules, as well as an amount of a binder, most preferred a water-based natural rubber latex or water-based Styrene-Butadiene rubber, wherein all materials were hot-pressed forming the mats or boards.
