The chassis comprises intermediate beams 120 underneath which or between are plates 130 which direct water to the front edge of the chassis and to a main structural beam 110. The structural beam 110 has a passage 111 through which the water passes from the inlet 112 to an outlet 113. In use the intermediate beams support a floor through which water drains onto the plates. A deflector 118 may divert the water flow horizontally outward from the outlet. A channel 115 is provided in the top edge of the beam 110 to locate a filter 116, which can be accessed from above for maintenance. Also claimed is a balcony with the chassis
