The invention relates to a self-closing rotating actuator element (1) for a water fitting (2), having a handle sleeve (3) which comprises an outer part (4) and a base part (5). The base part (5) can be connected to a rotatable actuator (6) of the water fitting (2), wherein the outer part (4) additionally comprises an opening (7) in which a spring-biased push button (8) can be positioned in a closed position, said push button being connectable to a rotary locking mechanism (9), and a torsion spring (10) is provided which exerts an actuating force towards the closing position when the handle sleeve (3) is moved.
