The invention relates to a method for producing composite panel elements (1), said method comprising:- providing a binder comprisinga) glass particles,b) at least one slag, andc) an activation system comprising at least one water-soluble calcium salt and at least one water-soluble alkali metal silicate or alkali metal carbonate compound,- providing a fibre component,- mixing at least components a) and b) of said binder with a said fibre component,- forming the mixture into composite panel elements, and- adding water to said fibre component or to said mixture or to said composite panel elements,wherein the component c) of said binder is either mixed with the fibre component together with components a) and b) or added together with said water to said fibre component or to said mixture or to said composite panel elements.
