L'invention concerne un dispositif de manœuvre d'un système d'occultation (S) d'une baie (E) qui comprend au moins une extrémité mobile (2) en translation entre une position de rétraction (R) et une position d'extension (E)dans laquelle le système occulte en partie au moins la baie (E). Ce dispositif de manœuvre comprend : - une bande poussante (10) flexible qui comprend une première(11) et une deuxième (21) extrémité et qui est destinée à être liée à proximité au niveau de sa première extrémité (11) à l'extrémité mobile (2) du système d'occultation - des moyens d'entrainement (15) motorisés de la bande poussante (10)adaptés pour assurer le déplacement en translation de la première extrémité (11) entre une position proximale (Pp) correspondant à la position de rétraction (R) du système d'occultation et une position distale (Pd) correspondant à la position extension (E) du système d'occultation, la bande poussante (10) étant adaptée pour transmettre un effort de poussée à l'extrémité mobile du système d'occultation. Disclosed is a device for operating a system for covering an opening, including a movable end moving between retracted and extended positions in which the system covers at least part of the opening. The device includes: a flexible push strip with first and second ends, connecting, close to the first end, to the movable end of the covering system; a motor driving the push strip, moving the first end between proximal and distal positions. The push strip transmits a push force to the movable end of the covering system. The device also includes two parallel guide rails on top of or facing one another, in which first and second ends of the push strip travel. The drive includes a drive and idler wheel around which the push strip winds, so the push strip is partly in the first guide rail and partly in the second guide rail.
