L’invention concerne une traverse de chemin de fer (10A, 10B, 10C) monobloc et en béton destinée à être ancrée dans le ballast et à supporter des rails (52) de chemin de fer, ladite traverse (10A, 10B, 10C) comprenantune portion centrale (12) et deux portions de support de rail (14) positionnées de part et d’autre de la portion centrale (12),chacune des deux portions de support de rail (14) comportant au moins un évidement (16a,b), ledit évidement étant formé par un flanc latéral (18a,b) de support de rail (14) et par trois parois (20a,b, 22a,b, 24a,b) émergeant dudit flanc latéral (18a,b) et étant configuré pour pourvoir accueillir des grains de ballast lorsque la traverse (10A, 10B, 10C) est en position fonctionnelle sur le ballast du chemin de fer. The invention relates to a one-piece concrete railroad tie (10A, 10B, 10C) intended to be anchored in the ballast and to support railroad rails (52), the tie (10A, 10B, 10C) comprising a central portion (12) and two rail support portions (14) positioned on either side of the central portion (12), each of the two rail support portions (14) comprising at least one recess (16a, b), the recess being formed by a lateral flank (18a, b) of the rail support (14) and by three walls (20a, b, 22a, b, 24a, b) emerging from the lateral flank (18a, b), and being configured to be able to receive ballast grains when the tie (10A, 10B, 10C) is in a functional position on the ballast of the railroad.
