Grating fastener for open grate flooring
A grating fastener 810 is provided for connecting to open grate flooring. The grating fastener 810 comprises a support member 814 having a grate-contact portion 816 and a support engagement portion 820 for connecting a structural member to be mounted on the open grate flooring thereon. An anchor element 822 is connected to the support member 814 and extends from the grate contact portion 816. A retaining means is then provided to supply a retaining force between the support member 814 and the anchor element 822, the retaining means holding the grating fastener 810 in place on the open grate flooring when the support member 814 and anchor element 822 are positioned on opposite sides of the said open grate flooring and tightened from the support member side of the said open grate flooring. The retaining means may be: an elasticated member; ratchet; spring or flexible strap. Also claimed are a method and a post base connector.
