Modular bund system and method of installing a modular bund system
The present invention relates to a modular bund system, and a method of assembling the modular bund system. This dike system can either be installed as a standalone or to add height to another solid dyke system This berm can be used with liquid storage containers, machinery, liquid carrying pipes, transformers or the like. The modular bund system 100 comprises: a plurality of wall members 104, each wall member comprising a foot portion 116; and a plurality of angular connecting members 106, each angular connecting member configured to connect one of the plurality of wall members to another one of the plurality of wall members to form a corner of the bund. Each connecting member comprises a first flange (504, figure 7) configured to overlap a portion of the one of a plurality of wall members, and a second flange (506, figure 7) configured to overlap a portion of the another one of the plurality of wall members. The modular bund system further comprises means for sealing each flange to the respective wall member portion such that a liquid impermeable bund is formed. This bund system also discloses linear connecting members 108, an access wall member (1400, figure 14) with a slidable door (1500 figure 15), drainage panel (1700, figure 17) with a non-return valve (1702, figure 17) and a separate sump section (1800 figure 18) with a pump.
