Offshore wind turbine ladder cleaner
A mechanical cleaning unit which is connected to the ladder of an offshore wind turbine or to support wires/bars 1, by free moving pulleys 3, seated in a housing 2, which is connected to the main body 4, by a single attachment point or bearing 6. The device uses the motion of the sea to move freely up and down the ladder or support wires/bars. The front side of the main unit will preferably house several brushes 9, which clean the ladder constantly whilst the device is moving. The main device can have a separate float attached to the back of the device 5, or can have buoyancy integrated into the main body itself.
