A masonry reinforcement structure comprising reinforcement wires provided with ribs
The masonry reinforcement structure has two flattened parallel reinforcement wires 100 connected by a wire connecting structure (208, Fig.2). The two wires or bars each have parallel transverse ribs, wherein the combined angle of inclination of each group of upper 118 and lower 112 ribs, with respect to the longitudinal axis 110 of the wires, is between 160° and 200°. The reinforcement wires may be flattened in the plane of the reinforcement structure. The angle of the ribs β on one side of each wire may be less than 90°, and greater than 90° on the other. The ribs may have equal inclination angles, and the sum of the upper and lower rib angles on each wire may be 180°. The height of the ribs can be higher than 0.2mm, and they may have a relative rib area greater than 0.02. Also disclosed are masonry joints using the reinforcing structure.
