The small building primarily for use as a camping pod comprises a hollow shell having a curved roof standing upon upright opposite side walls, the shell comprising composite fibreglass and foam sandwich construction having laminated sheets or panels of an insulated foam core overlaid resin bonded fibreglass mesh sandwich construction. The pod may have end wall with access doors, ventilation and fenestration (e.g. windows). The pod may have an integral base platform which extends to form a veranda. Pods may be buoyant such that the float or can be used on ship decks. Also claimed is a method of manufacturing a panel by perforating a foam core to allow resin for bonding fibreglass mesh to the core to penetrate, and a method of manufacturing a curved panel by cutting grooves into one side thereof and bending. Multiple layers of fibre mesh and resin may be applied sequentially.
