A method of forming a panel for thermal insulation
The panel includes a vacuum insulated panel (VIP) 3 and a coating of liquid applied membrane 4 on at least one surface of the VIP. The membrane may encapsulate the panel and have a roughened surface texture 6. The membrane may be a polyurethane elastomeric membrane. Also claimed is a method of making a panel where the panel may be formed by a two part spray where one part is sprayed from a certain distance and liquid to form a roughened surface is sprayed from a greater distance. The panel may be used on a building as part of a wall, roof, floor or on an external or internal surface of a building.
