Waterproof membrane
The membrane 1 comprises a reinforcing layer 2 having a first and second surface, wherein at least a portion of the first and second surfaces is coated with a modified bitumen composition to provide first 3 and second 4 bitumen layers, the modified bitumen composition comprises bitumen, synthetic rubber and crumb rubber. The membrane may comprise a further layer comprising sand, mineral or plastic film provided on one of the first and second bitumen layers and may be provided on the other of the first and second bitumen layers. The entirety of one or both surfaces may be coated with the modified bitumen composition. The reinforcing layer may be in the form of a sheet. Also disclosed is a method of producing said multi-layer waterproof membrane and the use of the above multi-layer waterproof roofing membrane.
