Welfare unit with electricity producing means
A welfare unit comprising a self-contained cabin provided with an electricity producing means using a renewable energy source 1 (such as a solar panel); a generator powered by a non-renewable energy source 16; a primary or first battery 3 for storing power generated by the electricity producing means to supply electrical power to devices within the cabin through a device circuit; a secondary or second battery 4 connected to the generator for storing electrical power generated by the generator in order to supply electrical power to devices within the cabin through the device circuit; and a control means 10 powered by the primary and/or secondary battery that controls an isolation state of the batteries, with only one of the batteries providing power through the device circuit at a time, the control means monitoring the charge level of the primary battery and, upon the level of charge falling below a first level, isolating the primary battery from the device circuit and integrating the secondary battery into the device circuit.
