A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Disclosed is a mount (1) for a panel (10), the mount (1) comprising a support structure (2), a base (4) configured to fit within a channel (3) or on a surface of the support structure (2) and configured to maintain one or more edges of a panel (10) substantially away from the surface or the channel (3) entrance. First and second side means (6,7) are configured to engage with opposing faces of the panel (10) proximal the panel edge (10), the side members my have flexible projections to press against the panel in use. At least one of the side means (6,7) is releasably engageable with the base (4). One of the side means (6) may be integral with the base. The releasable side means may be engaged with the base via interlocking teeth which may be resilient or rigid, the engagement may be within the channel of the support if present or may be spaced from the support surface or channel opening. The base may be tubular, provision may be made for fitting LED lighting within a recess in the base, the mounting may be translucent.
