A barrier and method for selectively restricting vehicular access
The barrier 10 comprises a central barrier portion located between two side barrier portions, separated from each side barrier portion by a wheel track region. The height of the central barrier portion is designed to allow access to a first class of vehicle 100 (e.g. tractor) having ground clearance higher than the central barrier but not a second class 200 (e.g. car) with lower ground clearance. The central barrier portion may comprise a channel in its upper surface with stepped sides. The barrier may comprise concrete with a reinforcing member. The barrier may have wheel track portions spanning the wheel track regions, which may be integrally formed with the central and side barrier portions. The barrier may comprise an attachment member. Also claimed is an assembly comprising a barrier as above and a gate post and a method for selectively restricting vehicular access through an entrance using said barrier.
