A fire curtain housing 1 for adjusting the height of a deployed fire curtain 2, 3 is disclosed. The housing comprises a roller 6 on which fire curtains may be mounted, an exit slot 8 and an adjusting means 12. The housing defines a first and a longer second path. Optionally the adjusting means may be a roller or a rounded bar. The adjusting means can be maintained in a fixed position or be mounted on an actuator 10 to vary the length of the first fire curtain path relative to the second. The actuator may comprise a hinged arm which can be moved between a first and second position.
