A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The invention comprises a long horizontal vessel with restricted dimensions, which is designed to store rainwater in a plastic box pipe / rectangular tube, which varies in length and dimensions, and is designed to be installed into the eaves of built structures such as a house with a pitched or flat roof (see page 8 figure 1 of the drawings), so that rainwater may be caught by guttering 3 before emptying into the store 1. A solar driven pump may feed the rainwater into a tank 21 in the roof of a property where it can be plumbed to join the out flowing normal supply to a toilet cistern. Any excess water in the eaves store above an overflow height 4 may pass into a downpipe as normal. The invention is intended to reduce demand from the normal utility water supply and saves the user money and also relieves demand on the water companies. The invention may be scaled up for industrial buildings.
