A complete building construction system for constructing walls eaves, roof and floors
The invention relates environmentally friendly building blocks. Blocks (1) are substantially cuboidal, comprising: outer cladding layer (5) forming part of the external wall; inner cladding layer (6) forming part of the internal wall; bottom face; top face; two end faces; the six faces enclose core (4) which has at least one hole (7.1, 7.2, 7.3) extending from the top face to the bottom face, enabled to receive a strut pin. Two end faces are configured to bear against compatible blocks, which may be vertical channels (9.1, 9.2) which may form a hole suitable for a strut pin when abutted. The core comprises vegetable matter (i.e. hemp shiv) mixed with a binder (i.e. open cell polyurethane foam binder). The core may also comprise waste plastic materials. Foundation sheet comprises plank (Fig. 1.1, 24) and a plurality of half-height strut pins (Fig. 1.1, 25). A plurality of blocks may be placed onto the foundation sheet such that the half-height strut pins engage with the one or more holes, forming a structurally stable first layer. Full length strut pins (Fig. 1.1, 26) may be used in subsequent layers of the building structure in order to provide strong links between layers of blocks.
