A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
A pedestal assembly (1) for supporting multiple floor panels in an access flooring system. The pedestal assembly (1) includes a pedestal (2) and a cap (3) mounted to the pedestal (1). The cap (3) has an opening (31) and the pedestal (2) has a grounding projection (21) that extends through the opening (31). The grounding projection (21) stands proud of the cap (3) for contacting directly the floor panels supported thereon, thereby to provide electrical continuity between the pedestal (2) and the floor panels. An access flooring system including the pedestal and a kit of parts for the flooring system are also provided as is a computer program element defining a three dimensional design of the pedestal assembly especially for use in additive or subtractive manufacturing means.
