A sink having a primary outlet and an overflow outlet 14, wherein the overflow outlet comprises an aperture arrangement 12 having a channel 34 that faces away from the primary outlet. The aperture arrangement may comprise a drawer that is extendable to expose the channel. Alternatively, a mounting plate may be arranged over the overflow outlet with a channel element mounted on the plate, the channel element comprising a pivotable section that pivots to expose the channel. The overflow may have a removable filter. The overflow outlet provides an outlet for pouring waste liquids and bypassing the main outlet without contaminating clean washing water in the main sink basin.
