Temporary road sign
A freestanding A-frame 10 for a temporary road sign comprises first and second support sections 12, 32 pivotally connected together 30, so as to be collapsible into a generally flat transport configuration and unfolded to a deployed configuration. A stay mechanism 40 is provided to maintain the support sections 12, 32 apart in the unfolded 10 configuration and to reduce the likelihood of the sign frame collapsing. The stay is pivotally engaged 42 with the first support section and slidably connected with a seat 38 in the second support section. The free end of the stay may be engaged with the seat to maintain the sign in the extended configuration. A sign panel for a road sign may be displayed on the first support section.
