The present invention relates to a rotatable unit for a barrier. The rotatable unit is configured to be rotatable about a support shaft. The rotatable unit comprises a tubular portion through which said support shaft is configured to extend, and a plurality of blades extending outwardly of said tubular portion, said blades having an arcuate central axis comprising: first and second blade surfaces, each blade surface comprising first and second longitudinal edges, and first and second connecting edge arrangements, each edge arrangement connecting one of the said longitudinal edges of the first blade surface to one of the longitudinal edges of the second blade surface, wherein at least one of the connecting edge arrangements of at least one of the plurality of blades comprises at least a portion whose cross-sectional profile in a plane orthogonal to the arcuate central axis of the blade comprises a substantially planar surface. The present invention also relates to a method for forming the rotatable unit and a barrier.
