Road barrier indication unit
An indication unit 100 for attachment to a road barrier comprises a first portion 106 comprising a visual indicator 102 for indicating the presence and/or location of the barrier to a road user. A second portion 108 comprises at least one magnet for coupling the indicator to a surface of the barrier. The first and second portions may be provided in respective first and second planes which are perpendicular. The second portion may comprise a removal feature 120 in the form of a recess to facilitate detachment of the indication unit from the barrier. The recess may extend from a sidewall 122 of the second portion so that it is accessible when the indicator unit is attached to the barrier. The second portion may include a battery recharged by a solar cell 126, and the visual indicator may comprise an LED and/or reflector. A controller may be used to control the provision of electrical power to the visual indicator from the battery. Also claimed is a barrier comprising a road barrier indication unit.
