A ground surface access assembly support frame
A ground surface access assembly 10 for installation upon an underground support chamber (C fig. 6) comprising: a support frame 12, surrounding and defining an aperture; said support frame further comprising one or more sidewalls 14 integrally connected to an outwardly extending stepped base flange 16; said stepped base flange comprising a series/stack of annular planar portions 20 that in use are each horizontally disposed, and wherein each annular portion is integrally connected to one below by a downwardly extending wall portion 18 so as to form a downwardly and outwardly extending series of steps; such that the underside of one of the annular portions of said stepped base flange can be supported by, and nest around, one of several differently sized support chambers. A method of installation and a method of connecting and supporting a ground access assembly are also claimed.
