A fluid expelling lock cylinder
An anti-tamper cylinder lock to reduce the prospect of a freeze attack, the cylinder comprising a cylinder body, a key aperture 5, a plug 7 comprising one or more locking pins 9, a continuous channel from within the key aperture to external of the cylinder via a blow hole 13 from which fluids may be expelled, the fluid may be water to be frozen or solvent such as glue. The blow hole 13 is at distal end of plug, for example the fluid ejection hole 13 may be adjacent the cam at an upper surface of the cylinder body in use, opposite to the tumbler pins; alternatively the blow hole may be on the cam 19. A second fluid ejection hole angularly offset from the first hole may be included ejecting fluid from an underside of the barrel. The transmission/drive bar 23 of the plug may divert fluid out of blow hole in a first fluid path 25, the second drive bar 31 also may divert fluid in a second fluid path 29. A washer 15 around drive bar may provide a seal against water ingress.
