STAIR COVERING MATERIAL AND STAIR COVERING STRUCTURE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stair covering material and stair covering structure that allows people to sufficiently recognize stairs with phosphorescence to safely escape not only when going down the stairs to escape for a short time in the dark but also when going up the stairs to escape for relatively a long time such as at the time when a tsunami occurs.SOLUTION: A stair covering material 1 bent substantially in an L-shape includes a tread covering part 1a, a stair-nosing covering part 1b, and a rise covering part 1c for covering a tread 2a, a stair-nosing 2b, and a rise 2c of a stair 2, respectively. A first phosphorescence region 1m extending in a width direction of the stair covering material is formed on a stair-nosing covering part side surface of the tread covering part 1a. A second phosphorescence region 1n extending in the width direction of the stair covering material is formed on a surface of the rise covering part 1c. A phosphorescence pigment content per unit area contained in the second phosphorescence region 1n is greater than a phosphorescence pigment content per unit area contained in the first phosphorescence region 1m.
【課題】暗闇の中で階段を降りて短時間で避難する場合は勿論のこと、津波発生時のように階段を昇って比較的長い時間、避難行動が継続する場合でも、りん光により階段を充分認識して安全に避難できるようにした階段被覆材と階段被覆構造を提供する。【解決手段】階段2の踏み面2aと段鼻2bと蹴上げ2cを被覆する、踏み面被覆部1aと段鼻被覆部1bと蹴上げ被覆部1cを備えた略L形に屈曲する階段被覆材1であって、踏み面被覆部1aの段鼻被覆部側の表面に、階段被覆材の幅方向に延びる第一の蓄光領域1mが形成され、蹴上げ被覆部1cの表面に、階段被覆材の幅方向に延びる第二の蓄光領域1nが形成され、第二の蓄光領域1nに含有される蓄光顔料の単位面積当たりの含有量が、第一の蓄光領域1mに含有される蓄光顔料の単位面積当たりの含有量よりも多い階段被覆材1とする。【選択図】図3
