PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building material unit which achieves a lighting function and a sliding screen function and enables an organic EL illumination panel to emit light without deteriorating the luminance of illumination light.SOLUTION: A building material unit includes: a building material 10 which divides an outdoor space from an indoor space; and a double-sided light-emitting type organic EL illumination panel 20 buried in the building material 10. The organic EL illumination panel 20 is a light transmission type and has a light extraction layer 26 at the outdoor side. The light extraction layer 26 achieves light scattering performance.
