To provide a building material and a building material unit which can be attached with preferable workability in a desired shape, and a construction method of a building material.SOLUTION: A tile 10 comprises: a tile body 30; a magnetic layer 40 provided at a rear face S2 of the tile body 30; and a magnet 50 capable of magnetically and detachably attaching to the magnetic layer 40. A construction method of the tile 10 comprises: a cutting-off step of cutting-off the tile body 30 whose rear face S2 is provided with the magnetic layer 40; a magnetically attaching step of magnetically attaching the magnet 50 to the magnetic layer 40; and an attaching step of attaching the tile body 30 to a wall face W by magnetically attaching the magnet 50 to the wall face W.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
