GROUND IMPROVING METHOD AND GROUND IMPROVING SYSTEM
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce effect on operation period of excavation works in a ground improvement works by reducing operation cost of the ground improvement works.SOLUTION: There is provided a ground improvement method in which the ground comprising a water permeable layer 2 below an improvement target layer 1 consisting of a viscosity soil layer inside of an earth retaining wall 12 is improved by discharging underground water. The method comprises the steps of: constructing the earth retaining wall 12 so that it reaches the water permeable layer 2; digging a hole 34 on the ground inside of the earth retaining wall 12 so that it reaches the water permeable layer 2; inserting a middle pile 32 into the hole 34; filling up a gap between the middle pile 32 and a hole wall in the hole 34 with a drain material 36; establishing a pumping well 20 draining water from the water permeable layer 2 on the ground inside of the earth retaining wall 12; and discharging underground water in the improvement target layer 1 via the water permeable layer 2 and the hole 34 filled up with the drain material 36 with the pumping well 20.
【課題】地盤改良工事の施工コストを抑え、地盤改良工事による開削工事の工期に及ぶ影響を減らす。【解決手段】土留め壁12の内側の粘性土層である改良対象層1の下に透水層2が存在する地盤を、地下水を排水することにより改良する地盤改良工法であって、土留め壁12を透水層2に達するように構築する工程と、土留め壁12の内側の地盤に孔34を透水層2に達するように掘削する工程と、孔34に中間杭32を挿入する工程と、孔34の中間杭32と孔壁との間にドレーン材36を充填する工程と、土留め壁12の内側の地盤に透水層2から揚水する揚水井戸20を設置する工程と、揚水井戸20により透水層2及びドレーン材36を充填した孔34を通して改良対象層1の地下水を排水する工程とを備える。【選択図】図1
