METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING POTTERY AND PORCELAIN BLOCK FOR CONTAMINATED WATER TREATMENT, AND THE POTTERY AND PORCELAIN BLOCK FOR CONTAMINATED WATER TREATMENT
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably treat contaminated water which has been treated without removing tritium, not into contaminated water but into a solid, not by chemical treatment but by physical treatment.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a pottery and porcelain block A for absorbing radioactive contaminated water is as follows: a green body 1 consisting of semi-porcelain clay, coarse potter's clay, light-weight potter's clay, lime feldspar potter's clay, dolomitic potter's clay, etc. and mixed bodies to be burned and extinguished 2 such as chaffs, are made into a pottery and porcelain block raw material A0 by mixing appropriate water therewith; the pottery and porcelain block raw material A0 is formed as an appropriate solid object, then burned in a burning kiln whose temperature is set to about 600°C to about 800°C which is lower than the burning temperature for burning a pottery or porcelain; and places existing after the mixed bodies to be burned and extinguished 2 are extinguished are formed as spaces 2a for absorbing the radioactive contaminated water.
