PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce fast flow webs.SOLUTION: A method of making the green ceramic body comprises the steps of: providing a green ceramic batch material comprising cordierite precursor materials, the cordierite precursor materials comprising 41.8-42.9 wt% of talc, 15.2-31.9 wt.% of at least one hydrated clay, 18.7-27.2 wt% of alumina, and 6.5-15.8 wt% of silica, and 3-10 wt% of at least one binder, the batch material being free of calcined clay; and forming the green ceramic batch material into the green ceramic body. The green ceramic body does not contain the calcined clay but has a honeycomb structure. The honeycomb structure comprises a web structure that has a plurality of cell walls, and 90% of the web structure is free of fast flow webs.
