PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a dead bolt from coming off a retainer part or make the dead bolt hardly come off the retainer part, even when a sheet metal door is deformed with a destructively strong force, in use in the state of attachment to the sheet metal door.SOLUTION: A dead bolt lock, in which a dead bolt D34 includes a dead bolt body 3 and a latch 4, comprises a dead bolt extension mechanism. Ordinarily, the dead bolt D34 is butt-joined to a butt joint member and pre-engaged with a retainer part at normal protrusion length. In an emergency in which the dead bolt D34 is pulled away from the retainer part because an external force is destructively applied to a door, the dead bolt D34 is extended following the butt joint member on a door frame side, and engaged with the retainer part with protrusion length greater than the normal protrusion length.
【課題】板金扉に取り付けて使用した場合に、板金扉を破壊的に強く引いて変形させても、デッドボルトを受け部から外れないように又は外れにくくする。【解決手段】デッドボルト錠は、デッドボルトＤ３４がデッドボルト本体３とラッチ４とからなり、デッドボルト伸長機構を備え、通常、デッドボルトＤ３４を衝接部材に衝接させ通常の突出長さで受け部に係合させておき、扉に破壊的に外力が加えられ、デッドボルトＤ３４が受け部から引き離される非常の際に、デッドボルトＤ３４を扉枠側の衝接部材に追従して伸ばし、通常の突出長さよりも長い突出長さで受け部に係合するようにした。【選択図】図１
