MANUFACTURING METHOD OF WATER SUPPLY EQUIPMENT SUCH AS FAUCET/VALVE AND WETTED PART MADE OF COPPER ALLOY, AND WATER SUPPLY EQUIPMENT MADE OF COPPER ALLOY
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of water supply equipment in which, when manufacturing water supply equipment such as faucets/valves and wetted parts made of a copper alloy by using a brass alloy superior in manufacturing performance, antibacterial property, recycling property and economical efficiency, antimony is contained to improve dezincification resistance and stress corrosion cracking resistance, while suppressing the leaching amount of the antimony, and thereby an adverse effect to tap water is suppressed.SOLUTION: Antimonial limit characteristics showing a water quality threshold value due to the antimony leaching out from the water supply equipment in tap water are found from the correlation between a wetted area of water supply equipment and an antimonial content of a brass alloy forming the water supply equipment as peculiar characteristics required to the water supply equipment. At least one of the wetted area and the antimonial content is suppressed, and the antimony leaching out from the water supply equipment into the tap water is made to be suppressed to the water quality threshold value or less.
【課題】製造性、抗菌性、リサイクル性、及び経済性に優れた黄銅合金により水栓金具・バルブとその接液部品等の銅合金製給水器材を製造したときに、アンチモンを含有させて耐脱亜鉛性や耐応力腐食割れ性を向上しつつ、このアンチモンの浸出量を抑えることで水道水に与える悪影響を抑えた給水器材の製造方法を提供することにある。【解決手段】給水器材の接液面積と、この給水器材を成す黄銅合金のアンチモン含有量との相関関係から、当該給水器材から水道水中に浸出するアンチモンによる水質許容限界値を示すアンチモン限界特性をその給水器材に要求される固有の特性として求め、接液面積とアンチモン含有量との少なくとも一方を抑制して、給水器材から水道水に浸出するアンチモンを水質許容限界値以下に抑えるようにした。【選択図】図1
