PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulation structure for an underfloor space that enhances heat insulation effects in the underfloor space with an auxiliary heat insulation material, at the same time preventing deterioration of the auxiliary heat insulation material by aging caused by outside air flowing in from a ventilation hole of a sole plate.SOLUTION: An auxiliary heat insulation material 6 that assists an existing heat insulation material 4 is installed along an undersurface of a floor body 3, and an edge part 6a of the auxiliary heat insulation material 6 is disposed in a vicinity of an upper end of a foundation 1, leaving a clearance S2. An edge part covering material is installed between the foundation 1 and the floor body 3, the edge part covering material including a fitting part 11 that is fitted between the foundation 1 and the floor body 3 using a ventilation hole, and a cover part 16 connected to the fitting part 11, the cover part supporting and covering the edge part 6a of the auxiliary heat insulation material 6.
