STEEL PIPE CONNECTION STRUCTURE AND STEEL PIPE CONNECTION METHOD
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide highly reliable steel pipe connection structure and steel pipe connection method without making a rotation suppressing key fall off, even when falling off or being ruptured by loosening of a bolt for fixing the rotation suppressing key straddlingly provided in a joint of both steel pipes for suppressing relative rotation around the axis of a vertically arranged steel pipe for constituting a steel pipe pile in erection construction of the steel pipe pile.SOLUTION: A steel pipe connection structure constitutes a key arranging part 40 by cooperating between an upper side cutout part 40A formed along the circumferential direction on the peripheral edge of a lower end part of an upper side steel pipe 10A and capable of inserting a rotation suppressing key 50 upward from the lower end part and a lower side cutout part 40B formed in a position corresponding to the upper side cutout part 40A along the circumferential direction on the peripheral edge of an upper end part of a lower side steel pipe 10B and capable of inserting the rotation suppressing key 50 downward from the upper end part, and is provided with a falling-off preventive mechanism for suppressing the rotation suppressing key 50 from falling off from the key arranging part 40, on a side surface of the rotation suppressing key 50 and a side surface of the key arranging part 40.
【課題】鋼管杭の建て込み施工時に、前記鋼管杭を構成する上下に配設された鋼管の軸心周りの相対回転を抑止するために前記両鋼管の継ぎ目に跨設された回転抑止キーを固定するボルトが緩んで脱落したり、破断したりしても、前記回転抑止キーが脱落することない信頼性の高い鋼管連結構造及び鋼管連結方法を提供する。【解決手段】上側鋼管10Aの下端部の周縁に周方向に沿って形成され、下端部から上方に回転抑止キー50を挿入可能な上側切欠部40Aと、下側鋼管10Bの上端部の周縁に周方向に沿って、かつ、上側切欠部40Aに対応する位置に形成され、上端部から下方に回転抑止キー50を挿入可能な下側切欠部40Bとが協働してキー配設部40を構成するとともに、回転抑止キー50の側面及びキー配設部40の側面に、回転抑止キー50がキー配設部40から脱落することを抑止する脱落防止機構を備えている。【選択図】図2
