BRAKING MATERIAL USING FIBER-REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking material using a fiber-reinforced composite material, capable of effectively diffusing exothermic heat in braking, and capable of reducing a risk of breakage due to heat stress.SOLUTION: In a braking member according to this invention, a main surface comprising a slide surface contacting with a friction material in braking and a non-slide surface having no slide surface is formed on front and rear surfaces. In the braking member, the thermal expansion coefficient of the slide surface is made smaller than the thermal expansion coefficient of the non-slide surface; a fiber-reinforced composite material is a carbon short fiber-reinforced silicon carbide-based composite ceramic; and a thermal expansion coefficient is determined by a carbon short fiber content per unit volume.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】制動時の発熱を効果的に放散でき、かつ、熱応力による破損のリスクも併せて低減できる繊維強化複合材料を用いた制動材を提供する。【解決手段】制動時に摩擦材と当接する摺動面と前記摺動面を含まない非摺動面からなる主面が表裏面に形成された本発明に係る制動材は、摺動面の熱膨張係数が前記非摺動面の熱膨張係数より小さいこと、さらに、繊維強化複合材料が炭素短繊維強化炭化ケイ素系複合セラミックスであること、熱膨張係数が単位体積当たりの炭素短繊維含有率で決定されるものである。【選択図】図2
