PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zirconia sintered body suitable as a front tooth denture having aesthetics and strength equivalent to those of a natural front tooth, and to provide a zirconia sintered body exhibiting shades equivalent to a shade sample of various natural teeth as well as having similar aesthetics as that of a natural front tooth.SOLUTION: A colored translucent zirconia sintered body is provided, which comprises zirconia containing yttria of more than 4.0 mol% and 6.5 mol% or less, erbia of less than 0.25 mol%, iron oxide of less than 2000 ppm in terms of FeO, cobalt oxide of less than 0.01 wt% in terms of CoO, and alumina of less than 0.1 wt%, and which has a relative density of 99.90% or more, a total ray transmittance of 25% or more and less than 40% for light at a wavelength of 600 nm in a sample having 1.0 mm thickness, and a strength of 500 MPa or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】本発明は、天然の前歯と同等の審美性及び強度を有する前歯用義歯として適したジルコニア焼結体を提供することを目的とする。さらに、本発明は各種の自然歯の色調見本と同等の色調を呈し、なおかつ、天然の前歯と同様な審美性を有するジルコニア焼結体を提供することを別の目的とする。【解決手段】イットリアを４．０ｍｏｌ％超６．５ｍｏｌ％以下、エルビアを０．２５ｍｏｌ％未満、酸化鉄をＦｅ２Ｏ３換算で２０００ｐｐｍ未満、酸化コバルトをＣｏＯ換算で０．０１重量％未満、及びアルミナを０．１重量％未満含有するジルコニアからなり、相対密度が９９．９０％以上であり、試料厚さ１．０ｍｍにおける６００ｎｍ波長の光に対する全光線透過率が２５％以上４０％未満であり、なおかつ、強度が５００ＭＰａ以上であることを特徴とする着色透光性ジルコニア焼結体を提供する。【選択図】 図１
