METHOD FOR PRODUCING SIC MOLDED BODY AND SIC MOLDED BODY
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a method for producing an SiC molded body capable of obtaining a molded body having high compactness and having a high complicated shape, and capable of easily performing precision processing such as machining work, electric discharge machining or focused ion beam processing; and an SiC molded body obtained by such a production method.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing an SiC molded body, which comprises: a carbonization step of heating an organic molded body including an SiC powder and organic matter to carbonize the organic matter to obtain a carbonized molded body; and a reaction step of heating the carbonized molded body and ferrosilicon in one sealed space to permeate the ferrosilicon into the carbonized molded body melted by heating and reacting carbon atoms in the carbonized molded body and the ferrosilicon to form an SiC molded body, where each SiC powder is sintered via SiC to be generated and a continuous SiC network is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】緻密性が高く複雑な形状の成形体も得ることができ、機械加工、放電加工や集束イオンビーム加工等の精密加工を容易に施すことができるSiC成形体の製造方法、及びこのような製造方法により得られるSiC成形体を提供する。【解決手段】SiCを含有するSiC成形体の製造方法において、SiC粉末及び有機物を含む有機物成形体の加熱により有機物を炭化させ、炭化成形体を得る炭化工程と、炭化成形体及びフェロシリコンを一の密閉空間内で加熱し、加熱により溶融したフェロシリコンを炭化成形体に浸透させ、炭化成形体中の炭素とフェロシリコンとを反応させてSiC成形体を形成する反応工程とを有し、SiC成形体中には、生成するSiCを介してSiC粉末同士が焼結して連続するSiCネットワークが形成されている。【選択図】図1
